๐Ÿ’ก As a Skyline dealer, you decide how to run your business. There are two models โ€” know both so you can match the right option to each customer.
Understand the In-House model: customer pays upfront + you keep monthly recurring revenue (~$20/mo net after fees)
Understand the Funded/Brinks model: customer pays little upfront, Brinks buys the account, you get a lump-sum payout (~$500โ€“$1,400). No recurring revenue, but zero liability after 1 year.
Use the Deal Calculator to model profitability before every deal โ€” factor in equipment cost, pass-through fees, admin fees, and credit score
Know the rule: commercial accounts โ†’ Rapid Response; residential accounts โ†’ Brinks Home (best funding multiples)
Remember: you can use Resideo/Honeywell, Qolsys, JCI, or 2GIG equipment โ€” you are not locked into one brand
For funded accounts: after 1 year, Brinks handles all service, billing, and risk. Great for customers who can't pay upfront.
For in-house accounts: build your recurring book of business. Best for commercial clients who can afford upfront + monthly.
๐Ÿ’ก For new Resideo accounts, you build the account in Skyline Mobile (Orion), then contact Resideo to transfer the AlarmNet service. This preserves the customer's existing Total Connect login.
Review the Resideo / AlarmNet Training Guide on the portal
Know how to get the MAC ID and CRC from the technician
Know how to find the Subscriber ID in Orion (AlarmNet page โ†’ "Subscriber ID" / "CS-Sub")
Understand how to set up an account in AlarmNet360
Know the process: build in Orion โ†’ email Resideo to transfer โ†’ set up monitoring in Rapid (or Brinks)
Run the Deal Calculator to confirm profitability before presenting to the customer
๐Ÿ’ก You operate under your own company name as part of the Skyline Dealer Network. Customers will see "Skyline" on monitoring calls โ€” brief them so they're not surprised.
Request your Skyline Dealer Network logo from your manager
Download Skyline and Brinks Home logos from the Sales Portal
Order Brinks Home yard signs + window stickers for residential funded accounts
Brief new customers: "I'm part of the Skyline dealer network โ€” if you ever get a monitoring call, you'll hear Skyline mentioned."
For residential in-house accounts: you can use your own signs or Brinks signs โ€” your call

Ext. 1 = Qualify Customer ยท Ext. 2 = Convert Account ยท Ext. 3 = Welcome Call

๐Ÿ’ก Skyline is expanding aggressively into commercial. Learn these products to differentiate yourself.
Learn about the Fogger โ€” commercial anti-theft fog security device ($5Kโ€“$10K, ~30% margin). Tagline: "You can't steal what you can't see."
Know the Fogger pitch: two-factor trigger (armed system + dedicated motion detector) = no false deployments
Target markets: warehouses, pot shops, collectible stores, high-end retail, storefronts
Schedule a separate Fogger training call with Chad when ready
